Tiny gt frame and bits - doubt its a Zaskar though

I can confirm that what you have there is a 1997 Model year GT Avalanche LE frame set. They were American made, 6061 and had a curved top tube cab. You serial number 9 of 96 shows that it was actually early 1997 model year production. By 1997 model year the delear shows were moved up in the calendar and GT was shipping USA made 1997 model year bikes to dealers before Christmas...they had to as Trek, Cannondale and everyone else was doing so back then.
