Love the hand painted no standard road signs
Signs of an organic society
Most of the other road signs were the original British ones with hand painted Turkish names on. The North had only recently opened up to a wider tourism field, rather than just Turkish mainland. It was a fabulous few years there. At the end of the working day locals would set up charcoal grills by the roadside to feed the homeward bound, lamb kebab, salad and wrap was 26p 😋 local made Gin was 87p a bottle but Schweppes tonic was £1.65. Lemons were free 😀
