The Hybrid thread proposal

I can't seem to find too much information on Hybrid bikes here on RB. I'd like to suggest a sticky to be made under Road(?) bikes in order to facilitate concentrated discussion. Maybe they weren't very popular in Europe but were over in North America for a time.

For the UK, it's a relatively new concept. There were always roadsters with flat bars and heavier tyres, but the "hybrid" is new. Therefore, unlikely to be heavily discussed on a retro forum.
Same for carbon bikes, gravel bikes etc.
But, a sticky thread would be ok, just not sure it'll get much discussion

Well I guess time flies but even I don't consider a Dawes Synthesis or similar from the mid 90's to be a relatively new concept
