Yeah, DIY threaded rod based ones are popular - loads of guides all over the internet. Personally, I use a rubber mallet to start, and a big G-clamp to finish, because that's what I happen to have in the house. You pay your money and take your choice though .

Right its been decided and ordered! Gone for the hope mix and match an integral ZS44 top and a EC49 bottom...

...now to fit, I'm hoping my LBS will allow me to borrow their headset press! Unless anyone has one I can borrow in the Southampton area!
