Swift bicycles?

Can anybody date this bicycle or give me info on manufacturers?
I'm guessing English, possibly 1950s?
There's no makers marks on in except for "Swift" on headset & a set of Phillips handle bars which may or may not be retro fitted? It also has a Bristol leather saddle.
The rest of frame has been hand painted like a tiger probably in the 60s by one of its previous owners.
I pulled it out of the bins walking past a house in the 90s, as it looked like it wanted saved.
After a mechanical refurb and new tyres/brake blocks its used quite often and goes well.

Can't help with dating or info as rod brake bikes aren't really my forte but would love to see a pic of the paint....sounds quite fun!

Yes I agree, the paintwork was what caught my eye & far to good for the binmen to throw in the back of their lorry.
Someone spent a few days painting this old bicycle up.
If you look closely it says "hannas" on the top bar so probably belonged to some young lady called Hanna.
