Stolen Stumpjumper (Cambridge)

Sorry you lost ya bike.

I'd also try OWL bikes in Sawston.
Any bikes that are found in the Cambridge area and not claimed can end up there to be scrapped (god forbid) or done up and sold.

Insurance and bikes in Cambridge dont mix BTW!

I didn't know about OWL -- thanks!

On the whole Cambridge seems to have rather more that it's fair share of sticky-fingered people -- or they seem to be really very attracted to me. I'm beginning to think that it's time to move somewhere else!

As for insurance it was locked up and locked away so it may come to something. On assumption that (a) the insurance people actually deliver and (b) they won't fund a retrobike I thought I'd better have a look at some modern bikes -- I really can't say I get on with the geometry though, the top-tubes seem to be horribly short and they all feel as if they should be used for cruising along a beach (I reckon that a wicker basket would go quite nicely on the front of some of them!).

Rather like this guy:
