I’ve got a Controltech stem on my ride.

I’ve seen Ringle (Zooka) and Syncros stems change hands for big money.

Are there any real tangible differences in performance ? Surely they just connect the steerer to the bar ?

Thoughts appreciated which way to go ??

Stick or twist ??

Probably no difference in performance, but all the more esthetically.. Although the detachable part of the Zooka was prone to cracking.
What ride is the CT stem on?

Stick, ControlTech was cool and worked, Syncros were tres cool but a bit fiddly with their slanted top cap and internal wedge, Ringle were uber cool but cracked...

They are all alright. I quite like Control Tech, prefer the black components though and ran a Ringle stem on my Hei Hei without problem. The Syncros can look too fat on thinner tubed bikes sometimes imo especially the silver ones for some reason.

Was thinking about a Ringle one like this one: no idea on age though - they all look the same.
