Sorted Something nice... Steel?.. Now identifying frame!

OK, I've been tasked with building a bike for a friend. I don't think he knows exactly what he would like... However

It needs to be 17"
Be able to run a fox 36 (150mm ish)
Probably 27.5 wheels

We were looking at orange p7, cotic etc something along the the lines of a nice steel ht or even a santa cruz chameleon if going alloy

But it could be opened up to a nice full suss

Ideally frame only as the plan is to build up with hope / xtr components, however if someone has a bike / and or parts I'd be interested

Like I say not entirely sure what we're after but does anyone have anything potentially suitable?

I've tried to get him and his wife onto 26 and I don't think it's going to happen

Cotic would be a good choice lovely steel frames and can be picked up for not too much money on a good day. Dialled bikes? Stanton?

Yes I've come across one or two of those. The builds are either completely wrong to what he wants or I can't find a frame only

I can vouch for Stanton slackline, if you can find one, the most fun I’ve had on a hard tail!
