I got a Roberts white spider of here for £90 which needed some welding to the seat stay. got it. fixed it. sand blast lightly. needed a little filler to smooth the other seat stay with some minor corrosion on. tried to paint it...... and that's where it went wrong. my heaters did not work of long enough so the paint was not super hard. no problem i will do a second coat with more solvent and it will dry quicker. kind of worked but there was some minor paint contamination (couple of marks) and a couple of minor drips as the wet was wetted out a lot. no problem some we and dry will fix that. not too bad. some decals and tap the bb and headset. some nice top coat will sort it out. oh hang on no one will ship me any 2pack paint (new rules), went with single pack and its not gone that hard either. grrrs had enough of this one.
so on mechanically good roberts white spider. Bought for £90 plus shipping, Loads of work done. Paint is not perfect and will probably last not long. unless you can buy some two pack paint and give it a proper top coat.http://www.specialistpaints.com/product ... -coat-canz Might make a good project for some one with more time.
£130 plus postage i will find some cromo uni crown forks to go with it if you need (also need paint).
