Yes, it really is heavy

Great find Coomber, I love the 91 range , Remove the chainset and it will be a lot lighter

a little sprinkle of LX would make it a great little bike, it has tange tubing and max drive forks which are good but the 200GS is the achilles heel in my opinion

Gravy Monster Yep, completely agree. The chainset is made of lead it would seem, such is its weight. Will get a nicer groupset on it and that should make it look nicer and weigh a lot less

Most definitely

I have some dx low profile canti's somewhere , if you want them PM me and they are yours for Karma :D

Cheers

Great find - good luck on the build.

Just out of interest how are you going treat the rust of the frame? I have acquired a similar condition bike recently and it has the same type of rust. I have been trying a bit of T-Cut which seems to work on the smaller bits of rust, but wondered if you had any tricks for the larger bits like around the head tube.

Also will you be trying to get the rust of the components/quick releases as well? If so what will you use? Wet and Dry??

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get ideas.
