glad you got it out. These are nice frames it was just the rest of it thats skip fodder!
 
Its not particularly light but it is really nice. I'm trying not to overdo the rebuild but I like it a lot and as its for the Mrs I can justify buying things (in my mind!)
 
The stuck headset cups are out!

Took it to a LBS and his parks headset cup remover + me holding bike + a ridiculous amount of massive blows and it is out!

Now tidying up the frame.

First of all I weighed it. Nobody is going to be surprised with the weight - tange main tubes but rest is not so nice - so...

Have used vinegar and it has done a sterling job in removing the majority of the rust. Only problem is the number of serious marks on it, some of which the previous owner seems to have tried to sort priorly. Think I will rub them back, kurust it and paint over the top. Dont want to pay for a respray as that will be in excess of the cost of the build!
