Hey guys
This is not my bike, and it is not a mountain bike but a Raleigh City bike.
I saw it for sale in a little shop that sells reusable stuff at the local dump and was intrigued by the number of gear-levers.
There are no less than three, and it has a mix of both internal and external gearing from I think Sturmey Archer.
Can anyone tell me how many gears it has, is it 2x3x2=12 or (2+3)x2=10?

It seems a bit over-engineered to me for the amount of gears, but thought it would be interesting for you Raleigh fans out there

Really interesting pic, thanks for posting this up.
Looks like the old Sturmey Archer type 5-speed hub, attached to a double chainset with front derailleur (which makes for 10 gears!).
I’ve seen the combo hub-with-rear-derailleur before, but never with front derailleur. A curiosity!

Thank you for the reply Craigmont, I had heard about the two lever SA 5-speed hub but wasn't sure this was it, the lever for the front derailleur also had Sturmey on it!
As I recall the bike was called a Raleigh Hybrid
