To quote a wise man - I learned more from a 3 minute record, than I ever learned in school.

That holds true for me even if that record is The Cheeky Girls- Touch my Bum (Instrumental version).

University is just one path, and it's the wrong path for a lot of people. Unfortunately it's presented very much as the only way if you are reasonably bright at school, which leads to a misplaced sense of failure if you don't take to it.

I know where the line came from, I was just giving an example of a record that taught me more than I learned at school. I was exaggerating a bit, but I genuinely did learn more from Rasputin by Boney M than I did at secondary school.
