Shimano Chainring

Hi folks,

So I managed to get myself a decent XT M750, 4 Bolt chain set for a build. However I would rather change the current outer 44t ring to a 42t ring. It appears they look like a hard find, that 42t outer ring. Anyone know of any source to get one or even a "third party" outer chainring that would fit this XT M750 crank set?

Thanks in advance.

Forget Shimano chainrings, they are inferior to anything from BlackSpire, Middleburn, TA or Stronglight. Try Spa Cycles for starters,

Thanks for the reply, can you mix them, say put an outer 42t ring on, also how do you know they will fit? Are all 4 arm compatible with a 4 arm spider?

I think the Shimano Deore XT Crankset FC-M750 has a 104 BCD, but unsure if there is a slight "angle" on the ring and not just "flat" - I will be keeping the two smaller current rings.
