I once shattered the fast moving blades on an electric pedestal fan whilst foolishly trying to hang a clothes hanger on it.
The problem was it was a hotel room in France.
I didn't want to explain or pay for the damage so I quickly remembered that I had some surgical glue in my first aid kit. A couple of hours later it was all fixed. I also ground up an Ibubrofen tablet to sprinkle on to cover the joins and replace the dust.
Nobody mentioned fans whilst checking out, and hopefully nobody in France has any shards of plastic embedded in their face.
