Velofrogs A La Carte build thread reminded me that I haven't updated this thread for a while. Not really had a great deal to update until recently though. Just been enjoying riding this, but I got a Pugsley as my main singlespeed off-roader recently, so it was time for the El-Mar to get some gears! :|
XT 3x9 as that's what I've got and it works. Not really tempted to go 1x11 yet.
Dirt Wizard now takes care of the front end.
Hans Dampf on the back.
This combo is about as big as will fit. For off-road who would go back to wee skinny rims and tyres? No me anyways!
This bike having gears now will limit the use it gets as I prefer singlespeed for most of my local riding, but for longer trips out and group rides it will do the business.
