It's previously been stated:
70X were Campagnolo equipped
71X were Suntour equipped
72X were Shimano equipped
No idea if that is confirmed, but it came from someone much more knowledgeable than me.

Ahh yes I see now the numbering actually makes sense.

So I’ve never seen a Suntour equipped s bike but there aren’t even photos of the 71X’s

But it’s only the really early s bikes that came with full Euclid.
