Rock Shox Mag 10 fork with a 1 1/4" stem swap question

Re:

After a bit a research I came across 8.4mm silicon o-ring cord that can be cut to any length. I also came across 8.0 mm rubber o-ring cord. These cords run around $1-$2 a foot. I pealed out the old plugs that were not holding air. In one tube the adjuster rod was somewhat bent so I strengthened this out. I then cut two plugs from the silicon cord, used a needle to punch the holes, and stuck these in the plug holders. Filled both tubes with air - and the fork now holds air! Went for a two hour test ride and had no air loss - so the 1994 Gary Fisher is back on the trail!
