Thanks Sisyphus, I'm not sure when it was made but I would guess at early 1960's as that was probably when my Dad bought it. It has sat in the loft for at least 15 years as he became too ill to ride it. I think the rest of the family thought it had been thrown away but there it was in a sorry old state lurking beneath the cobwebs.
The Old Fella had tried to make it easier for himself to ride by putting a bigger saddle on it and flat bars and other weird ideas. Luckily he very rarely threw anything away and had kept all the original bits. There was even the original mudguards but sadly the plastic had perished too much to be of any use.
It's quite a heavy bike with only 5 speeds but it is very nice to ride.
