Resin pedals - would you..

my son uses the wellgo transparent plastic ones but they have metal teeth like a cheese grater so they still grip well in the wet.

Most of my bikes have got resin/plastic pedals, I dont use spd's and I dont look after my pedals so I buy cheapo ones 2nd hand, use them untill I bust them they get more

I had some fitted to the new mid range bikes i bought when i could afford new,i found the end of the axle tears through the nylon body :?
