Raleigh RSP Ti

Re:

It isn't - the seat height hasn't been set . It's 16" and I'm not a midget

Finished now - changed the cables for Jagwire Ti Kevlar and shortened to how I like it.
The Red flash on the fork looks out of place, Can't seem to match the fork's Red with anything (ie. Seat, Red Seat Clamp etc - as the red is an orangey red and hard to match) so will just leave it.
Since taking the brighter picture no. 2 I've Autosol'd the bars, the cranks/rings and seat post plus other metal bits to get rid of marks and scratches and it's gleaming like the door of a whorehouse and looks superb! Will take some pics and upload .
So there we are. Now for the next project.

Re:

I decided to change the look of this and change some parts - being unhappy with the general look and feel of it.
I wanted a practical MTB and something more or less in period too with the odd exception.
I got rid of the Phil Wood hubs with Atek rims and the FW.
Ditched the shifters and rear mech and the stem and went for some different.

Anyway I decided to do some seeking and shopping and tinkering.

I bought some lovely late 90ies NOS Mavic X618 Ceramic Rims

97 Sachs Quarz Hubs - NOS.

A Sachs Quarz rear mech from 97.

A pair of Sachs Plasma shifters from 98.

A Ringle Zooka Ahead stem and cap.

A Shimano XTR M950 Ti cassette.

A matching Specialites TA granny ring

Jagwire Ti Kevlar cabling

Ordered a Raleigh RSP 600 Decal from Gil - in custom grey/silver and Red (to match the forks) plus the Timet Titanium downtube decal.

Got the wheels built with butted spokes.

Gave the frame a slight Autosol treatment and wax.

And she looks lovely, the smaller profile Ringle stem meant a spacer on the steerer - looks jacked up a bit but boy is it comfortable to ride!

Used my existing WTB grips with the shifters.

She rides beautifully, much better than before, the shifting is effortless too.

What do you think?

Shortened steerer and removed the large spacer - Ringle stem looks much better now!

Re:

Apologies for the Ressurected thread (again) The image hosting sites seem to have deleted all of my pictures of all of my (and former) bikes which was upsetting - so thought I'd add a few for the sake of the build threads
