Pre war Humber bicycle for sale

Retro Newbie
A friend of mine, a lifelong cycling enthusiast, has asked me to help him sell his Humber Bicycle, he is not familiar with the internet etc!
The bike is a green Humber, he reckons its is 1935, but probably 1937, since the Sturmey Archer dynohub was not fitted until then.

Frame: 23" Steel with Twin (duplex) forks

Wheels: 26 x 1 3/8" with stainless steel rims

Hubs: Original, with Sturmey archer 3 speed Dyno hub to the rear

Gear selector: Quadrant type fitted to the crossbar.

Mudguards: Original and in good condition.

Chainguard: Original and in good condition.

Saddle: Original Brookes, sprung leather.

Brakes: Original U shaped rod brakes.

The bike is in exceptional condition considering its age, and, apart from some rust on the brake rods is surprisingly rust free. It would not take much work to return it to its former glory. Both front and rear lights are fitted, powered by the dynohub, (untested).

My chum would like £400 for his machine, but is open to offers.
