Peugeot PF60 "Prestige"

chinny

Retro Newbie
I wonder if anyone could help shed some light on a bike I have just acquired. It still has the plastic serial number sticker, indicating the model as PF60. And I know that the Vitus 181 tubing wasn't introduced until 1981- so it must date after that.

But the bit that is confusing me is the "Prestige" wording on the top tube. I thought this meant it was made in a special workshop where the team bikes were produced. But all the Prestige bikes I've seen online use Reynolds tubing and are high end. My understanding is that the PF60 isn't a high end model...
