Peugeot 28", vintage road bike with computer shimano

Hello! I got this bicycle today, but rear derailleur is broken. 12 speed. What should be good change for it (simple cheap change or authentic)?
Also what would you value this bicycle? I don't know if this Shimano computer works or not

Quite common for the Delrin mechs to break. Lots of period ones Huret, Simplex, Shimano on ebay that would suit, not expensive either. It's not a high end Peugeot but will ride just fine. Clean it, repack the bearings, cables, pads, tape and maybe tyres. Spend as little as possible as the value is not high.

What do you think about computer? I will try it later, hope it works. But it seems pretty rare and expensive SHIMANO CELC SH-CE10 bike computer stem - it goes with specific fork with a hole for cables.
If i want to sell bicycle in the future (I'm student and probably will move), what should I ask for this bicycle?

I've never used stand over height as a critical measurement when choosing a bike in over 40 years of riding

A Peugeot like yours is worth nothing in Northern Michigan. I find old Raleigh and Peugeots dumped anomalously in my front yard on occasion as the community knows I‘m a bike nut. The best free Peugeot got new tires, cables, repack, clean and polish. I had it on Craigslist and facebook marketplace for $75 USD but no bites. It’s a clean nice looking bike. I also have found a Peugeot and other similar 1970s 10 speeds in dumpsters behind bike shops. Sometimes the bike shops gives me 3-4 bikes. I can’t even give them away. I strip them for parts and the frame, and other unusable metal parts go to our local volunteer fire department scrap drive.

No offence, but in the UK it's a £50 gumtree bike.
Saying that, it should give years of service for non-competitive cycling
