Pennine MTB

I might be about to reverse that trend...

The geometry isn't a million miles away from my gravel bike. So I thought it might be a good contender for a gravel conversion. To raise the front end I bought a Velo Orange Cigne stem. It's weird, I've never had a stem that's taller than the head tube!

Looks a bit ridiculous

I thought it looked quite cool on the velo blog though?

Thoughts? I also have a Surly corner bar so won't need to change the brakes/shifters etc.
I like it. The VO in pic has an even shorter headtube. Jacquie Phelan's bike for comparison:

Took for a spin at lunch time. Gotta say the Surly Corner bars are very weird but I do like them. I swapped out the tyres again for some Geax Pluma 26x1.8, not much tread but they're really light (around 300g) and roll well. I also got an Alpkit bar bag which is really useful and helps hide the massive stem.
