Pace Frames....

...quick question on Pace Frames - If (when!) they break, where do they usually go? What do you look for?
BB area/headtube etc?

95 era 1s used to go back of the seattube just below the clamp on seatcolar. also seen 1 crack on the inside of the drive side dropout.

I dont know about new era pace.

One of the first places to look on the newer frames is the very bottom of the Seat tube, just above the weld onto the Bottom Bracket, seen a few go there, tends to be with bigger/stronger riders who push bigger gears, just fatigue I guess.

Having said that I have had a few and never had a problem and I ran one as a single speed for a number of years
