Orange P7 Info

Hi All,
Today I acquired this P7 from Ebay in a lime green colour which Ive never seen before, Im trying to date it, 94-95? sio I can have a look for period parts, anyway I only really bought it for the frame and forks as I really liked my purple P7 and it can sit with the 94 Eldridge Grade I have, no idea what's going to be usable but maybe the hubs will be ok. If the frames good I think it may need a paint job, if any one can shed some light on it I would be gratefull. My Eldridge Grade as well.

Don't think many of the parts are original tbh as the groups looks mostly 93-5 where as the frame is a 97/8 I think due to colour and lake of canti brace. If you look in the archive at the top of the page there will be info in there as most of the Orange catalogues are available. Nice bikes btw.

Thanks but I though earlier as it has a stx threaded steerer, I think he's used the quill converter on it, hopefully the seat post will be good, cranks can be polished if teeth ok, rims are odd maybe hubs be ok. I have a mint XT rear mech that should be ok, I'm going to try and see if a mobile car touch up specialist can fix the bits that need it. Im going with 94-95. Will see Sunday when I collect it. Not to fussed how accurate to the time is, I will jus find parts that work with it.

Strange one that. Certainly got 1998-1999 decals on it. 99 frame would have disc mount so earlier. 98 colours were Team Orange & Red but it's Orange so their green wouldn't be a surprise ! The seat clamp is throwing me - should be a separate clamp for 96-98. Does it have a chain holder pip on DS seat stay? Diamond shaped bottle bosses? If not maybe a 94 with the canti brace removed & repainted by Orange in the late 90's with decals & colour of the day? Frame number would be useful.

Hi,
Yes has a chain holder but no diamond bosses, yeah the seat clamp and the threaded fork is making it hard to see, the canti brace is not there but there is a bolt hole under where it would have been. Serial number tomm when I collect.

Hi All, so I've got the bike and the serial is 04/1994, I forgot how light these were defo feels lighter than my Eldridge grade.
Hubs are dryish but smooth, rims are straight but crap, seat post is good, shim is black, rear lx mech is cosmetically tatty but I have a mint xt one.
So I've never seen this colour P7 before, was it a production model or did Orange just use it to show it was a bike that was converted in some way?, Ive asked the seller about its history and am just waiting for a reply
