Orange C-16R - 1995

Bought this from a fella on the Retro Orange FB group & picked up yesterday. 1995 C-16R in original condition & nearly all original parts. Going to get a full stripdown & service, new tubes, different tyres, original bars & different pedals, bigger cassette & new chain. Groupset staying as is. Can see this becoming a well ridden workhorse.

Nah - one Skittle bike is enough for mine & RB readers eyes! Full service, tubes, grips, cassette, chain & fit original bars & better pedals. May just ride it as is for a bit - nothing spoiling! Got another on the stand at mo.

I have set of correct silver Hot Rod bars if you need them, they're in fair shape but not too bad overall and uncut. Won't be much £££

Hmmm - could be interested. I have a plain silver bar where decals have worn off & was contemplating decals but original might be nice.

This type I think is correct?

That's a nice score. l never see Orange bikes over here. Regarding your second picture, on the railroad track... is your bike leaning on a gandy dancer? l've always wanted to try one of those

It's an old coal wagon. The track through the forest is an old railway.

Keeping it pretty much as is except Bontager bars & Alivio chainset going to be changed plus the plastic Wellgo pedals which are both broken. Frames been cleaned & Dinitrolled. A few scuffs & chips to touch up but first I've been stripping the components & giving everything a good clean, scrub up & lube. The old Aldi ultrasonic cleaner & new Lidl compressor coming in handy.
