(finished build on p2)
Bought this from a fella on the Retro Orange FB group & picked up yesterday. 1995 C-16R in original condition & nearly all original parts. Going to get a full stripdown & service, new tubes, different tyres, original bars & different pedals, bigger cassette & new chain. Groupset staying as is. Can see this becoming a well ridden workhorse.

Re:

That looks in decent nick Ross and very honest...

Looking forward to you putting your own stamp on it...

Another ‘skittle effect’?

Nah - one Skittle bike is enough for mine & RB readers eyes! Full service, tubes, grips, cassette, chain & fit original bars & better pedals. May just ride it as is for a bit - nothing spoiling! Got another on the stand at mo.

First time riding with canti brakes. They're crap, need adjusting or both!

Re:

Nice! Looks like it will scrub up well - doesn't look too bad already mind!

I have set of correct silver Hot Rod bars if you need them, they're in fair shape but not too bad overall and uncut. Won't be much £££ :D

Hmmm - could be interested. I have a plain silver bar where decals have worn off & was contemplating decals but original might be nice.

This type I think is correct?

That's a nice score. l never see Orange bikes over here. Regarding your second picture, on the railroad track... is your bike leaning on a gandy dancer? l've always wanted to try one of those

Keeping it pretty much as is except Bontager bars & Alivio chainset going to be changed plus the plastic Wellgo pedals which are both broken. Frames been cleaned & Dinitrolled. A few scuffs & chips to touch up but first I've been stripping the components & giving everything a good clean, scrub up & lube. The old Aldi ultrasonic cleaner & new Lidl compressor coming in handy.
