Well you learn something new every day. I always assumed purple came first, but the catalogues do support your view.

I doubt it's a 96 and would be more comfortable given it was built very early 94 that it is a 94/95

Thought it might have sold 95 at start of 95/96 model
Year but now seems like it's earlier.

Agree despite the frame date, it probably went on sale towards end of '95 or maybe first half of '96. I believe the black logos/text relate to this period, where as the earliest ones probably had the purple text stickers.

yes I have a E3 with black logos from the same year....

I would be more likely to trust a frame number than a set of replaceable stickers
