Norco Bigfoot

Retro Newbie
Hello,

I live in Toronto Canada.
Could you please have a look and let me know about
this bike? I'd like to know what year this was made and any other information.
I bought it a couple of years ago and used it to commute to work but it is
too heavy and shifters are not indexed so I moved to 1999 Kona
firemountain with slick tires. It used to have bike rack at the back for
saddle bags and I put that in my the other bike. Thank you for looking.

Sorry have no info about the bike.

But I like what I'm seeing, that bar is very nice (in my opinion).

Greetings,

Herman

i would say late 80's, it has some parts on it that i recognise from my 1st bikes back in the day. being a norco i think it would have been made in canada, not the far east.

nice find :D

Yay someone else who owns a Norco!

I thought I was the only on on here (and I'm not even from Canada).

Mine is a '98 though so much newer - a agree it looks mid-or even early '80s.

I just had a peek at the Norco website and in their 'History and timeline' section there is a pic from 1984 that has a bike in it that is quite similar to yours - well same handlebars anyway!

You could try sending them an email or registering the serial number with them - you may get lucky.

Wow, that is retro!!

Silly me thought Norco began with hardcore fat framed alu hardtails!  thats a proper heritage. :)

Very cool bike. Mid eighties heritage but I don't know much more.

The guys on MTBR VRC would know alot more about it.

Thanks for sharing!
