Hi all

Get yourself some early 1990s British steel MTB action - my Nigel Dean Nevada is for sale. Picked this up as a project a couple of years back but haven’t had time to do it, so I’m hoping someone here will give it the love it deserves.

As you’ll see from the photos, its currently in urban single speed mode, but I’m selling it with the original Campag kit it was shod with (possibly Euclid Graphite?) plus some (I think unused) bullet shifters. Wheels currently on the bike aren’t the originals, but the original wheels are also part of the package. Confused much? Prob best to have a read through this list:

Nigel Dean Nevada, 20”c-t-c
Reynolds 531 Magnum frame and fork, plenty of chips and scratches but no major damage or issues, would look great with a respray

Current spec as per the photos:

- Girvin Flexstem in 1990’s fluoro yellow, missing the little suspension bung
- Really sweet Italmanubro SuperAlloy bars
- Tektro brake levers (not original, I suspect)
- Campagnolo (poss Euclid?) cantis
- Campagnolo chainset - converted to singlespeed, all original bolts, parts and chainrings will be supplied
- Seatpost is unknown but a really nice bit of kit
- Sella Italia Turbo saddle, well worn but no tears / holes
- Current wheelset is unknown rims on Deore hubs
- Halo Twin Rail tyres
- Gusset singlespeed chain tensioner

Hubs running well, freehub needs lubing, Flexstem moves up and down as its missing the bung.

Also provided:

- Campagnolo front and rear derailleurs
- Front wheel: Campag hub and Campag Kappa rim, Campag QR skewer
- Rear wheel: Campag hub with Arai RM20 rim
- Campagnolo Bullet Shifters x 2 - nearly new condition
- Chainrings and bolts for chainset
- Original campag MTB pedals (not in photos)
- Toe clips (vintage but non original),
- Bottle cage (vintage but non original)

Photos available for all of this, PM me and I’ll send them.

Looking for £250 for the lot. Collect from Winchester or I can post at buyer’s expense TBC.

Hope its of interest to someone, its a cracking bike with the perfect 90’s MTB geometry and look.

Thanks!

Re:

That’s very cool indeed.. not many Nevadas on the forum. Fingers crossed it’s still available for the interested parties..

FWIW I'm sure that’s a Mavic seatpost fitted as well. A bit of a rarity in its own right :D

Re:

Hi, is the bike still available? Also, I am not very good with the sizing. I am 6’1, 185cm, would the size be about right for me? Many thanks.
