Newbie with an old Klein Attitude Comp

You might want to slap a chain wear measuring tool on the bike to see how worn the drive train is. Personally after cleaning and lubing the cables/housing/shifters (and maybe replacing cables and housing) I'd consider replacing the casset and chain. Jockey wheels shouldn't need it unless you road the hell out of the bike.

I'm doing the coast to coast ride from Whitehaven to Sunderland on the old girl this weekend so that ought to work as a decent shakedown ride. My carbon forks and CK headset arrived today and I won't get chance to fit them pre ride sadly. I need to get the forks reamed to fit the crown race and am goig to strip and measure the steerer to see if thats in tolerance for the CK to slot in when I get back.

Old bikes are fun!
