Need information about my Ferraroli

Re:

It’s not a catalog view but a page from a 1990 :D VTT Magazine number 19

Re:

I have a couple of Swiss-brazed bikes with Tange MTB stickers upon which the seat tubes were reamed to fit 27.0mm posts, but you shouldn’t have to worry about any size below 26.8mm on one of the Série / Prêt-à-Rouler models from 1990 on.

Also, while it is common to find Swiss-brazed frames with
forks built by Tange in Japan, it would be very unexpected to see the opposite. Once Ferraroli hitched its wagon to the mountain bike craze, and started chasing higher volumes at more affordable price levels, they leaned ever heavier on Japanese partners like Nitto and Tange to build the parts which were not made to measure, reserving their Swiss capacity for building made-to-measure frames and executing elaborate paint schemes.

Finally, if anyone reading this is interested in learning more about Ferraroli, kindly pay a visit to my blog at fascinationferraroli.com, where I archive documents and share what I’ve learned through owning many and studying even more.

Cheers from the south face of the Swiss Jura,
Terrance
