Thanks again for all the comments. Looking again at the bike it brings back a lot of memories. I remember as a keen teenager outlining the lugs in the white paint and adding the "go faster stripes" (maybe not such a good idea).

Anyway will do my best to get it back to some sort of working condition.

That look very good for such an old bike - keep it original
wipe it down with a slightly oily rag.
might be worth treating the decals with thinned varnish to keep them in place ? try a corner and see if it works.
