My 19" 1988 Muddy Fox Explorer restoration.

from a £35 f&f in a bad way cosmetically (note the scorch mark from where I had to heat the frame to get the seized seat pin out)
to a freshly powder-coated retro ride. Tough as old boots those bikes (Tange triple butted cro-mo) it clearly had a hard life but there wasn't a single dent in it - its as straight as it was when new (heavy bikes over-engineered by today's standards)

and if that is not garish enough for you I once owned this Aluminium Pro too - original paint and stickers from the factory that one too - although tyres made the package a bit OTT at the time

(needs to be a 1988 though, as the earlier bikes had frame lugs and were much heavier and the '88 was quite a development over the earlier bikes at the time)
