didnt mongoose's have triangular top tubes at one point?

Yup and downtubes too....

( they were more pear shaped to be honest)

I raced Mongoose bikes for a few years and loved them.

Have still got a couple now actually...

Nice to see some of these still rollin - I've been running one since '95, just put new tires and a drive train on, took one ride on it after and I think it's better than ever. Just noticed 3 cracks in the front between the handlebars & fork though, looking for a new frame however I'm a bit concerned any frame that's 25 years old may also be nearing end of life, going to sell all the parts off it and upgrade I think. If anyone can make use of the parts drop me a line. Several of them were great upgrades, like the Marzocchi Bomber light z.3 shock & Deore XT rear derailleur.
I really liked this rig.

not sure why it doesn't allow me to add some pics, they are 800x600 .jpg and less than 512kb

Re: Mongoose Rockadile SX

Trying to figure out how to add photo I wanted to add to last post.
I reduced the size and tried a 400kb, then a 250kb, neither worked.
All dimensions are below 800 x 600
using firefox, maybe your site is not optimized?
Please advise

Now that these are around 25 years old, keep an eye on the frame particularly between the handlebars and front fork for cracks (front of that tube section). This is one area the frame has weakened for 2 of us, much to our dismay - but 25 years from a mountain bike is excellent service time.
