Well, what an excellent weekend, although cake consumption was possibly not at the expected level, this can easily be explained by the fact it has been BOILING HOT all weekend.
That said, I did manage to eat, slice by slice, a nice fruit cake.
On the downside, I was told that there were macaroon available... but I was not offered the opportunity to sample them.
On the plus side, I did receive a substantial and delicious home baked lemon drizzle cake (thank you Mr and Mrs Andyz).
All round, a fine weekend, including my first ever fruit smoothie which was extremely nice, but which needed to be the size of the one on the Plusnet advert.

The remaining macaroon (I could only manage five in a sitting) was a little fly blown by then. I left fruit cake and almond slices sealed for fear of similar. Managed 24 mini all butter croissants as pre breakfast snacks on Saturday and Sunday. Didn't want to affect the 6am lap.
On a happier note, spam remains untouched.
