material of Scott sawtooth

do you know what is the material of this frame ?
I think it is steel but after .... tange ... ?

It's definitely steel, but it's pretty much impossible to know what particular alloy of steel, or brand, or whether it's butted etc. without a label, or knowing the model and finding the specs; I had a quick google, but didn't find anything particularly useful: https://www.google.co.uk/?gws_rd=ssl#ne ... t+sawtooth

Hi,

I had a Sawtooth of that kind, this is a 1992 model (originally it came with a rigid fork). If I remember correctly, it is 4130 CroMo. Somewhere here you can download the '92 catalogue, maybe that helps.
