Marinovative Cheap Trick brakes with canti levers?

You can run V brakes with standard levers so the same will go for the Marinovative. I never got on with V brakes using V brake levers so have only ever run them with cantilever brake levers. But you do need to run them closer to the rims and therefore your wheels need to be true.

Remember these were V brakes before V brakes were a thing. So I've always assumed they just run with standard levers as that's all that was available.
