The gold stuff on your Gios would not only mean overkill, but it would also combine poorly me thinks as it is real vs goldish paint. With some Dobbins-build's he prooved gold in the equation can be nice or at least interesting.

The ultimate expression in bad taste would be respraying the Gios though. Fact.

If the frame isn't the right size, who go to all the bother? I disagree about resprays - get it done properly and it'll be better than the original and more durable too - but pricey so only worthwhile if it's a 'keeper'.

That's a bummer, I was going to buy it until I saw the stem is to short and the bars to narrow...................................... :roll: ;)

Keep the frame as it is. I'm sure it's original and there's no law to say that a GIOS has to be blue. I think it looks great in Gold.
