Ladies Lenton. One that will likely annoy the purists

I have a 1951 Lenton. It has modern wheels with alloy, box section rims, and dual pivot alloy brakes.

1951 people would have loved it.

hi any chance a photo on a new topic, seen a few 23" ones for sale .i know they made these over
a few years and ken bird's name was linked to some
interesting, so you have replaced the sa hub and fitted a rear mech hanger.and its fast if i remember
correctly.if only they did a 22" im 538 st but my bulk calls for bigger and i reckon 23 is too big.

thanks kevin

It's a 3-speed. The 3 speed hubs are stronger, lighter and more reliable than the 4 speed hubs were. I will annoy a lot of people if I say 1950s dérailleurs are not something to put on a bike you want to actually use, but it's true, so there. :p

And the frame is actually not as big as you would think, because it has such slack angles. Chances are, at 5'8" it would fit you nicely.

I only have a pre-restoration photo of it, but it doesn't look that different:
