Jonroc at kleinspainted.com

Who is also pretty handy at painting Kleins :D

I bought my Klein from Jonroc many moons ago and saw first hand what he could do back then (2008/2009)
When I picked up the Attitude, He sold me a pair of rockshox he had painted and the blends were a little sketchy to sat the least.
I wasn't overly impressed hence my interest in Etoe's work.
That said, a lot of time has passed since then and his website shows off some very nice work.
Perhaps its time to approach him once more.

sorry just seen your post above ^ which you sent whilst I was typing

I'm not a fan of Klein's but I know and can appreciate Art and someone who know his craft when I see it !
that said I've seen some amazing chalk drawing done on pavements that last until the first shower of rain.

Yours is the first negative comment I've ever come across regarding J.R's work

I'm sure you'll spark a debate here,

regards

Nick

Well, I guess Jon has greatly improved over time

This is bloody lush in the flesh

Fully agree Ashley, Top Draw work indeed !

however the OP was in fairness only speaking as he finds, and since he's parting with his own brass more than
entitled to hold an opinion, right or wrong

Since I've only ever seen Johns work on a screen I'm bailing (wimping)out at this point,
As I know you Klein geezers get very passionate about your pre Trek babies

......and I'm not in the club

Re:

Hi Damian,

I know Jon's booked in work covers a long period of time hence the 18-24 months but that only reflects his quality of work and reputation plus the fact painting Kleins isn't the only thing in his life. I've been on the list for nearly a year now so getting closer, I'm happy to be patient and just wait until I'm called up, I knew the situation from day one. Have you seen the work he did on James's Backfire Adroit?

I've also seen Martin's work and that too was very good.

Just thought I would throw my pennies worth in! :D

Re:

Sometimes I'm very jealous of a build, and sometimes I'm happy to sit back and admire other's dedication (that word again), then enjoy the finished product.

I think this will have to be the latter!

Fantastic job you're doing, hope the paint gets sorted to your satisfaction eventually - don't lose faith, it will be worth it!

Re:

Hubs have been sourced and arrived safely

Now built up and ready for mounting

Little disappointed I haven't been able to source Centaur NOS
and even more disappointed these were 1992.
However to keep the project moving these were a good second best.
I will still keep a look of the the Centaur to finish it properly
