Re:

I was generally never a fan of Proflex bikes but that actually looks really nice. Well done Sir!

Why the hate for Shimano?

I never liked the fact that they changed everything so frequently and that they shoved shit on us without testing it properly (bio pace, STI, u-brakes...). Added to which suntour is just plain cool, likewise campa and any us exotic stuff - none of it works as well as shimano but that's not the point, these are retro bikes after all.

Pete, stunning bike!

You've done a nice job on it.
Like it very much

I hope to show off my 550 and my RF-1, they're practically finished

PS I have a xst flexstem ti bar-stem combo at home (but in 1 1/8"). Too narrow for me.

So that at least one bit matches the catalogue!

Re:

Like the build and i agree trying something other than Shimano , i have put Cane Creek brakes on my Proflex X-works . But your brake system looks like a work of art , great stuff . :D

Re:

What can I say Pete.

Class as always.

You always do it properly and your way, Fcuk the masses and there Shimano. A stand alone Build with some very classy touches.

And YOU know I love the brakes. The Saddle is a cool touch too....!
