KCNC Cranks. Talk to me.

I've just picked up a bike and it's got a set of very tasty looking KCNC Silverbones cranks on it.

I know absolutely nothing about them. I know that KCNC do some nice smaller bits, but had no idea they did cranks. Are they any good? Mine has the matching bottom bracket which I presume can be removed with a standard external bb tool?

I have a KCNC K-Type XC2-triple on the Schmolke, and the bearings did indeed use a standard tool.
No complaints about the crankset itself, but make sure you mount the bearings properly.

When I mounted my BB the included rubber o-ring kept going over the BB shell whenever I tightened the cups, so I used a thin plastic ring instead. Turns out it was too thin, which left a little bit of play that I failed to notice.
As a result I'm now stuck with creaking bearings. I hope that a regrease and refit with a thicker ring will sort it out.
