I think all modern acrylic based paint does that pretty much now it's just the 2 pac stuff (one part activator and one part paint) does it quicker and certainly did it quicker and with less nasties than the old cellulose paint it took over from and yes that shipping container should do the job very well.

I'm looking to build a drying cabinet for frames which will basically be an old wardrobe with a halogen lamp in each corner that I can hag frames in after they've been painted.

Re:

Or the plug in oil-filled radiators kick out a good amount of dry heat, plenty to fill a wardrobe, maybe a computer fan to keep the air moving through as well?

So here it is, built up with a mix of parts, tried to keep the black theme running as it sets off well against the bright blue. Admittedly not a period restoration but a smart looking tourer (mudguards and a narrow rack will polish it off nicely). I’ve done a couple of rides on it and it’s great, very relaxed and fast enough to bang along when you need to.
Unfortunately it’s now a bit nice to be a pub bike/beater, I wouldn’t want to gash it all up by locking it around Bristol!
I had a lot of fun with this one as I was building it as a keeper, so I bent some rules and hope I’ve not offended the purists too much!

Very tidy retro-mod..... love that pump!

Hope you don’t mind if I post some screen grabs, it would be a shame to lose these images once drop-box gets bought/goes bust/starts charging.

That is a great finish, what a transformation!
Really well done.
You should maybe redo this thread in the readers rides section so it doesn't get lost in time in this the general one.

+1 on that, It really is a very nice job and a very nice looking machine so needs to be in the readers rides section with lots of very shiny pictures.

What’s the best way to get pictures to upload directly? Files all seem to be too big from my phone, hence the Dropbox and Flickr links (Flickr has gone to pot now though)
