Hi all

first of all i would like to say sorry. im so busy at work i did not check bb

***russell is his name but not his user name and is not connected to anyone with Russell in there user name***

I swapped lava dome frames with another member (no names) recently. my 19" 1994 for his 17" 1995.
We met up half way checked over and swapped frames and shook hands job done. I have so many bikes i dont know what i have and what i havent. The deal was was without wheels, chainset and chain. I did not know the bottom bracket was shagged in my frame. If i had of done i would not have done the deal. Or if i was a bad guy which im not i would have included a chain set to hide the damaged bb.
So this person two days later sent a shitty email in pics below, all he had to do was email me without threatening me from the start.

I have returned the frame and paid the £20 for his fuel as he wanted.

Oh come on.

lets be honest, what a 42 carrot plonker. I cannot believe for one minute, any retrobike member worth his salt, would  EVER  tell another member that B/B wouldnt come out.

With Respect what is he a window licker.... :?

Common sense, and if that was to fail, a local shop. bang and sorted.

I fear this type....when i sell something, which is why i rarely do.

Fairplay , wipe your mouth and walk away, that sort will end up living with you....

The best thing
On the morning of the day I returned the frame he emailed me asking if I had any 19" project two forks for sale as he had got a 19" cinder cone frame
He got an email saying no chance
When we met up I said bb will be coming out of which he said best of luck
I have learnt a lesson check things properly and check feedback

Reading down the message I thought it was something really bad - was a bit disappointed when I saw that BB - any waller can get that out with a bit of persistence

There are two wrongs here as far as I can see. One was swapping a frame that had a duff BB, and the other was an over-reaction.

But it's all sorted now so end of story.
