Blimey, so based on those criteria DCs a bit of a pleb!

Why, because of his salary?

DC doesn't rely on his earned income to get by, like most rich folk. They coin it in with unearned income, on which if they pay it at all, they pay a lot less tax than most folk who have to work for a living.

Being PM is just a hobby.

So if you had millions to pass on to your kids, would you

A) look into legal tax planning techniques to minimise the tax impact or

B) do nothing and hope for the best?

Spend it !!!

Demonstrably untrue, but let's not let facts get in the way of a good Tory bashing...

It's a complete non story, he's avoided nothing. As usual the papers are turning half truths, big sounding figures and misconceptions into sensationalist garbage that the simple amongst us misunderstand.

The politics of envy is ugly politics and sadly the liberal uk is descending to this level where everybody has to be nice and cant disagree about things, where evey person is important and should be heard... what a load of Bull!

Re:

I recall the Tories haranging us all into 'giving something back' with their Big Society pish. I can mind back to the Family Values tosh as well, while Major was scoffing Currie's.

Undeniably there is envy amongst the outrage, but nothing gets people's backs up quite like hypocrisy.

Indeed - who amongst us "working people" (not getting into a class thing here - just meaning us normal folk) wouldnt want to have enough dosh to even want to consider the lawyers expenses necessary to offshore our income/ savings/ inheritance/ gifts from mummy and daddy etc....

what is particularly distasteful, to me at least, is that as the leader of the government, he/ they, duly shaft the poorest in society, the weakest, the most vulnerable in the country, in a huge variety of ways (we all know how, NHS, Schools, local councils, disability, mental health, etc etc etc) in the name of austerity, proclaiming it to be "all for the good of the country", how "everyone has to make their sacrifices", and that "we're all in it together", whilst simultaneous gorging himself on a fat income earned through tax avoidance techniques

Unsurprisingly little coverage in the mainstream media of the demonstrations in London yesterday

Because at maximum they have about 2-3k with only around 5-600 staying throughout the day. And this was from a friend who was there and very disappointed with the turn-out and chatted with the police (so not totally reliable, just like the press surrounding this).
