Phew, I thought it was a refernce to a nasty film called 'Animal Farm' that I heard all about but thankfully never saw.

As for the bike, I assume it is an orange, as it looks to have wishbone stays, and my knowledge of british bikes and wishbone stays is limited to orange only - I am sure there are many more though.

The second worst built frame I've ever owned. Although admittedly I haven't cut any others up to check the tubes actually touch each other.
 
If it came with "6spd and cantis" then that would date to 1989 or before.

XTR M950 (96 on), v brakes and bombers would not suit if that was the case <confused>

Perhaps 6spd is a red herring and someone had fitted an old wheel......
