GT Zaskar LE 1994 - Restoration - Help!

So i'm thinking of taking the advice above and restoring the current components. Here are the pics. Not full XTR but Deore XT is still worthwhile...

I think I got the large front chain ring replaced... Wish I hadn't now.

thats in desperate need of polish! hubs are circa 1992 XTR m900, rear mech about 10 years old, I'm not even sure if the cranks are XT or just modern deore, but anyway theres a real mix bag of parts there

id change the graphics if it were mine

thanks for the sage advice! I'll change the decals for sure to smarten it up. I've got a full day of polishing ahead of me for sure.

all components have been on the bike since 2000 at the absolute latest, as that's when I acquired it, however I'm pretty sure this all went on it in 96..

I think I will replace the cranks as they just look wrong.. Any suggestions??
