GT RTS Team? Or is it? Any GT experts out there?

Been looking at this.
Is this photo sufficient to narrow down the model and year? Is it a Team?

It has the flat top tube end cap. And the piggyback shock. The team model had the better parts, so without the original decals it's hard to say.

I may well be wrong but I don't think the 'Team' designation appeared till 95 and by then they had an aluminium rear triangle with a dropout pivot. From the photo that appears to have a steel rear triangle.

Quick look through the catalogues says that I was wrong and the team was available in 94 but that and the RTS-1 have the alu rear end. It looks most like a 94 RTS-2 with the 2 removed from the decals?

If the RTS-2 of that year had the 6061-T6 alu front triangle (like it says in that scan), it is identical to the team frame, right?

Front triangle yes, the team and 1 had an aluminium rear end.

Ah, okay. I remember this discussion in my RTS build thread. I wasn't sure if mine was RTS-1 or RTS team. But mine did have the alu rear end.
